halalanalysis.com ("we", "us") is operated by The Institutional Desk. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. Contact: desk@halalanalysis.com.
Data we collect
- Account & purchase data — name, email, organization, billing details when you register or purchase a course.
- Newsletter sign-ups — email address only.
- Institutional inquiries — name, business email, organization name, investor type, AUM band, geography. Submitted voluntarily through the inquiry form.
- Usage analytics — anonymised page views, referrer, device type via privacy-first analytics. No personally-identifiable browsing profile is built.
Why we use it
- Deliver courses and account access you have purchased.
- Send the newsletter and research briefs you subscribe to.
- Reply to institutional inquiries.
- Improve site performance and content (aggregated analytics only).
Legal basis
We process your data on the basis of (a) contract performance for paid courses and account services, (b) your consent for marketing communications, which you can withdraw at any time, and (c) legitimate interest for aggregated analytics.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data. We share data only with processors strictly necessary to operate the site (hosting, payments, email delivery, analytics). Each is bound by GDPR-equivalent data-processing terms.
International transfers
Some of our processors are located outside the EEA/UK. Where this is the case, transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
Retention
Account & purchase data: 7 years (tax/audit). Newsletter list: until you unsubscribe. Inquiry data: 24 months after last contact. Analytics: 14 months.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to processing. Email desk@halalanalysis.com with the subject "Privacy request" and we will respond within 30 days.
Cookies
We use a minimal set of cookies for site functionality (session, language preference) and aggregated analytics. We do not use advertising cookies. We do not use tracking pixels for cross-site behavioural advertising. You can disable cookies in your browser settings without losing access to the site's public content.
Updates
We will post any material changes to this policy on this page with an updated effective date. Material changes that affect existing users will additionally be notified by email.
